ABOUT DENAE FRAZIER
The Artist Behind Denae Frazier Studios

Born and raised in Arizona, I've always wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember. When I was in kindergarten, I used to watch Bob Ross doing painting on television. I remember trying to paint a happy little tree like he did. In high school and college, I taught a few art classes. I enjoyed teaching; it was quite a joy and I still love it.

Now, I spend my artistic hours sitting with my sweetheart, who watches curiously as to what new idea I may come up with. Robert has been such a loving support in all I do. He's always at every event with me. He's taken an active interest in all of my work. Whether its a picture, sculpture, or customized action figure, he's there.

Most of my artwork is done in colored pencil - strange but true! Most people who see the original work in person always seem to ask. It's how I build it up that seems to surprise people. I've worked in most mediums before, but I am always looking for new ones to work in. However, pencil has always kept my attention. I've worked in charcoal, pastels, oil crayons, watercolors, pen and ink, oil paints and many others.

I've done 1 of 1 covers on blank cover comics. I've got 28 covers of Image United and 14 of the Marvel Projects. All of them were a joy to draw on. Recently, I had the pleasure to take part in raising money for the Hero Initiative by sketching on oversized collector cards. Its such a joy for me to meet the kids who attend each event. Art is my passion and to see the happy faces who receive it is the most fulfilling reward anyone could ever ask for.

I'm currently working on a novel which incorporates vampires and other mythical beings and creatures. My co-writer is Natali Sanders who shares my enthusiasm for creating such a vast world and worlds within those. I have upcoming themed runs of artwork. I'll touch base on themes such as dragons, fairies, vampires and others.

I hope that my work brings you enjoyment and happiness. I thank you for coming to my site and taking the time to take a look at my work and learning a little bit about me. Thank you so much for your support!

I want to send you best wishes in all you do.

Sincerely,
Denae Frazier
